Set in the beautiful countryside of the Haute Vienne in the hamlet of Les Brégères. French department 87, the nearest towns are Rochechouart, Oradour-sur-Vayres and Vayres, whilst Limoges is also within easy travelling distance as is its expanded airport with daily flights from various places in the UK.
An original barn door gives access into an entrance vestibule. 2 steps lead into:
A staircase leads onto a balustrade mezzanine with an additional cosy sitting area, from where the 2 bedrooms and bathroom are accessed.

The Porcherie still has the traditional stone walls and lovely original features. It is an open plan design with the kitchen and living area downstairs and a mezzanine bedroom and bathroom upstairs.
From the lounge, French doors lead onto a very pretty patio, complete with patio furniture and bar-be-cue.
Both gites are supplied with linen and towels and a cot and high chair are available on request. Generally electricity and gas are included in the price, but electricity will be charged if heaters are required.

Both of our properties look out onto the swimming pool and pool bar, which works on an honesty system, and has proved to be a great success with all our guests. The pool and terrace are lit in the evening which adds to the charm of this very special place.La Retreat is 35 minutes from Limoges airport, there are frequent flights from 4 English airports and the property is 5 km from the lovely town of St Yrieix la Perche, which is very well served with shops, supermarkets and restaurants.

Haute Vienne
Gite now available for holiday or long term rental in the Haute Vienne area.
The gite is situated on the Limousin / North Dordogne / Charente border and the nearest large town is St Mathieu, which can offer all the amenities required on a day to day bases.
Kitchen / Dinning room. This room is accessed from the living room through a low door. This room has the original stone work exposed on three sides and again a large beam runs the length of the room. The kitchen is fully fitted, washing machine, dishwasher, electric cooked, micro wave, toaster, kettle, all cutlery, and crockery, pots and pans, sink etc. There is a table and chairs in the dinning room to seat six people and a breakfast bar with stools for less formal eating. There is a door leading to the rear garden and BBQ area, and the view from this side of the gite is fabulous. There is another set of stairs leading to the bathroom and bedroom number 3.
Shared bathroom.
The shared bathroom has a shower, vanity sink unit, storage area, WC, heated
towel rail and the water heater is in this room. This bathroom has two doors one
from bedroom 2 and one from the stairs leading from the kitchen /dinning room,
so you must remember to lock both doors or you may be caught out!!

Les Frauds - A renovated farmhouse in the south Haute Vienne and only 3km north of the Dordogne.
The property consists of a main house of 150 m2 with attached barn.
 The living room of 40 m2 has exposed beams and solid wood floor. Two large sofas are placed in front of the open fire. Telephone point in the room. Television with Satellite links to Astra, Hotbird, Atlantic Bird and Sky free air channels but requires connection. Available also are some DVD's and a DVD player, micro hi-fi, game boxes, books, videos.
A new woodburner is due to be installed.
Door leads to the back of the house.
There is a gas hob with extractor fan, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and various other electrical appliances. The hob is linked to two gas bottles in the basement.

We offer introductory, conversion and Private Pilot's Licence (PPL) courses provided by our own English lady Flying Instructor who is fully approved by the UK Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) and the Direction Générale de l'Aviation Civile (DGAC) to conduct English-language training in the UK and France. Sue is also a CAA authorised Flight examiner and Ground School examiner. So, in short, you can take all of your exams in English with Sue in France.  When
you visit La Chataigneraie you will meet the family of thoroughbred horses
The horses have directly descended from "Lady Sunshine" who originated in England in the early 1970's. She was a tremendous performer over jumps and won numerous competitions in very many different equestrian disciplines. We also have ponies and riding horses available for guests to ride. The countryside in the area has many wonderful rides in the forests where you may be lucky enough to see some of the numerous deer, wild boar and the abundance of birds of prey. Our properties are within walking distance of open countryside, woods, lakes and the local village where there is a pub, restaurant, tobacconist and bakery.

We provide cosy rooms and a friendly welcome for bed and breakfast and short breaks.
The property is at the heart of Champsac, which is a small Limousin commune 25 minutes south of Limoges.
We are a licensed bar, restaurant (our restaurant has original panelling and a
large open fireplace), and we have a hall which often hosts local events.
We also have a beer garden with a safe play area and plenty of shade, a front terrace to watch the world go by. We can offer a private garden for our guests which has a small plunge pool.
Le Champsac is situated in the Park Naturel Regional of the Limousin, with green hills, hedgerows, ponds and shady meadows. We are in a small typically French hamlet, surrounded by the peace and tranquillity of the French countryside.
On the first floor we have three double/triple en-suite bedrooms, with extra bed suitable for a child. They have recently been renovated and are available from €49 per room per night, based upon 2 people sharing. All rooms have central heating and Tea/Coffee making facilities. Le Pelateau is situated in the beautiful little village of Montgibaud. Montgibaud can be found in the Correze; a department of the Limousin, nestled just below the border of the Haute-Vienne.
Le Pelateau's position is ideal for visiting/house hunting in both the Correze and the Haute Vienne departments of the Limousin and the Dordogne; or as a mid-way stop over on your way to the south. Montgibaud is situated just 10 minutes off exit 42 on the A20 and only 45 minutes drive from Limoges airport.
Bed and Breakfast at Le Pelateau
The Garden Suite consists of three rooms, one double bedroom with a balcony overlooking the garden, a twin bedroom and a shower room comprising a shower, wc and hand basin. Tea and Coffee making facilities are available in both rooms.
The Orchard Room is a large, dual aspect, double room with ensuite shower room, comprising a shower, WC and hand basin. The room has beautiful views over the orchard and beyond. Tea and Coffee making facilities are available in the room.
The Village Room is a large, sunny, dual aspect double room with ensuite shower room comprising a shower, WC and hand basin. Tea and Coffee making factlities are available in the room.
All meals are taken in the beautiful dining area. Dining at Le Pelateau is a social affair with all guests seated around the spacious dining table. After dinner coffees can be taken in the seating area within the main dining/sitting room.
A continental breakfast is available and is included in the room tariff. A home cooked four course meal with wine is available at 20 euros per person (10 euros for children under 12; a high chair is available on request) but must be booked in advance. Weather permitting (which it usually does) we hold a BBQ evening for guests once a week. Self Catering in The Cottage
The Cottage has 2 bedrooms, one double which is dual aspect with electric heater and one twin with bunk beds; both bedrooms have ample cupboard space. The landing area has further cupboard space and a sofa bed which sleeps an additional two people. The living/dining area benefits from a large dining table comfortably seating 6 people, a seating area around the wood burner, TV, DVD player and a gas heater. The kitchen has newly fitted units with a gas oven, hob and extractor hood, a fridge, and a double sink. Provided in the kitchen are a toaster, kettle, cafetiere, blender, iron and ironing board. All necessary cooking utensils are also available including a 6 person dinner service. The bathroom has a large shower, wash basin with mirror lighting, a WC, shelving, clothes airer and an electric heater.
Guests have full use of Le Pelateau’s large garden and the BBQ, with outside seating area. The Cottage guests are asked to request to use the BBQ as we may be using it for our weekly BBQ evening. The Cottage guests are more than welcome to join the evening, but this must be booked in advance. Board games and cards are held in the main house but are available to guests in The Cottage. All bedding and bath towels are provided free of charge and access to a washing machine is available for a small charge. Both a cot and a high chair can be made available but please inform us when booking. Le Pelateau has spacious off road parking. A welcome pack is provided for all guests on arrival.
Please note: The Cottage is not suitable for people with mobility difficulties.
Montgibaud boasts a very good restaurant and local amenities can be found 5km away in the village of Meuzac; 8km away Lubersac offers full amenities including 2 supermarkets. A lake with a bathing area can be found 5km away in Meuzac; an ideal distance for a leisurely bike ride or walk. Ample off road parking is available.

the room.

2. This room overlooks the rear of the gite and has an impressive view over the
trees and hills towards Rochechouart. This room has two single beds and a
clothes storage unit, bed side cabinet and an electrical radiator. One wall has
the original stonework exposed. There is a low door giving access to the shared
bathroom.

3. This room also overlooks the rear of the gite and has the impressive view.
This room has a double bed and a clothes storage unit, bed side cabinet and an
electrical radiator. Two walls have the original stonework exposed, and the roof
beams are also visible, a Velux window adds lots of light to this vaulted room.
