"Thanks for email re jackets. We got stopped yesterday in Brantome. Got breathalised (which seems norm), all OK, but they checked we had our jacket but it was in the boot, and was told that it had to be in the car. So yes, they are checking and seemed to be checking everyone. They were out in force yesterday!!!"
